St. Joseph's Episcopal Church

About Us

St. Joseph’s is a friendly community of people of all ages. Members of our congregation represent a diversity of Christian thought and backgrounds. Our Sunday worship follows The Book of Common Prayer, Eucharistic Rite II.  The 9:00 a.m. service has hymnody chosen from the Hymnal 1982, Lift Every Voice and Sing and occasional other books. Sermons are always scripture-based, usually focused on The Gospel lesson.

Child care is offered at 9:00 a.m., as are Christian Education classes for young people through high school age.

Our ministries are outlined on the Ministry tab of this web page. We have other regular gatherings, including a Book Group that meets monthly, and a regular Movie Night as well. Our men gather for a monthly breakfast the first Saturday at Marie Callender’s nearby on Orangethorpe. A number of congregants are Education for Ministry graduates or current students. We are developing a community garden, so if you’ve got a green thumb that needs a workout, give us a call.

Because we share our priest with St. Stephen’s, Whittier, a number of our activities and ministries are shared with members there.

We would love to see you any Sunday…
